When Do You Send Out Wedding Invitations

When your fiancé came at your parents’ house to propose to you and establish the date of your wedding celebration, which you decided to be at the end of July, it was merely the end of October, but now that you have the date settled, you start wondering when do you send out wedding invitations to your guests in order to be sure that they will not have something else planned for your commitment date.  Maybe this is precisely the reason that has lead you to the thought to begin already searching for the wedding cards, the ones that will deliver the news to the rest of your families and your best and close friends.

Some of the web sites you have been searched through advice to send the cards with 8 weeks before the wedding takes place; another site advices on at least 3 months prior to your wedding date. You can also use a virtual wedding planner and this will make all the things easier. But again you do not know what to do; you have to proceed with the further planning of your wedding celebration and not knowing exactly the number of your guests will be quite annoying considering that you have to start do the talking for renting the specific venue, then it will come the moment to go for the menu list and table seats, and to order of course the wedding cake.

What if, for instance, you plan to have 100 guests invited, and send all the cards with only 8 weeks in advance and till then you will order a large enough reception room to hold this number and finally see that only half of them can attend? Then what? Cancel the rental of the venue? Or order a smaller menu and less button holes and corsages flowers? No way, you have to do the things very cautiously since there is a lot of money involved in the wedding and you wouldn’t like to loose all that money because you haven’t previously and thoroughly considered when do you send out wedding invitations.

Your parents come with the idea to have a “save the date” card sent to all the guests you have on your wedding guests list, and then the proper wedding invitation to follow. In this way you can prepare your guests of the date of your wedding and if they want to attend to your happy event, then they will keep in mind not to plan anything for that date. And as simple as that, one of your problems is solved and in this way you start thinking of the design of your wedding invitations, planning to have the same design printed on the ’save-the-date’ card. You can also count on one of the top wedding planners, and this will ensure your invitations to be sent at the right moment.

Searching through the web pages of the variety of wedding cards, you reach to many sites that deliver a complete set of these written messages. They have the set consisting of the wedding invitation, the save-the-date card, the RSVP card and the Thank you note. But you think not to have a set including the Thank you note, because you consider of having a photo of you as a wedding couple with every guest of yours and have the photo sent as a thank you note to the invitee.

So, writing previously the save-the-date card and have it sent to the guests with at least 5 months in advance is your most convenient solution. And later, after one month or maybe more you can proceed in delivering the actual written message of your upcoming event, in this way being certain on one aspect: the definite attendance of your wedding guests.
