Long before colored photographs came into our lives, there was the black and white photo to fill the empty frames that populated the walls of our houses or the shelves of our living rooms. As it was recently proved, the professionals and long-time dedicated photographers have never left the world of processing and manipulating the black and white art of photography and this because they have understood the real value and beauty of a black and white image.

The catch here is due to the fact that a black and white photo is a long lasting one and more resistant to fading. The advertising field has also found that black and white photo can deliver a sense of reality with a type of imagery that color can be absolutely distracting. This is the reason why wedding couples prefer to have in their wedding albums more black and white photos.

This is also the reason why young couples, while deciding to start planning the details for their wedding celebration, choose wedding invitations black and white to be sent to their family and friends and announce them about the happy event. These invitation cards may be beautifully created in black and white aspect of the design (with geometric or floral motifs to fill the borders of the card) or applying black and white photo of the young couple, in the attempt to deliver “something old, something new” to their invitees.

The message of a wedding invitation black and white could be seen as the old time of the past becoming a new time of the future, a new time brought into the couple’s life in the form of a marriage, which is actually the object of the celebration to which everybody is asked to attend in a joyful and happy spirit
