Wedding Invitation Tropical Wording
The wedding invitations come in an overwhelming variety of designs, sizes, patterns, color combination and shapes, so selecting just one design is a heavy task, unless you made up your mind and if you already know what you should be looking for.
It might sound quite simple in theory, but choosing the right wedding invitations for your long-awaited wedding day might prove a bit difficult, especially for the inexperienced.
The design of the wedding invitation can give a hint to your guests about the theme of your wedding or what should they expect from such an important event.
You can always be creative and use your artistic skills to make the wedding invitations by yourself, that is, if you have the necessary time and patience. Another option I often recommend is to purchase the wedding invitations from online manufacturers because on the internet you might find some unique and very cheap wedding cards; you can also decide to personalize the cards by using different methods made available also by those manufacturers.
There are two wording options you can use to issue the invitations: the formal wording based on a long-lasting wording etiquette or the informal language or make the invitation using your own creativity with words.
The text can either be written by hand, but this is an expensive method, engraved or printed by using thermography with its beautiful raised letter effect. This procedure is the cheapest and by using old letter fonts or some intricate calligraphy styles you can obtain some interesting and special wedding invitations.
The invitation should contain pertinent informational details about the wedding, either if we are talking about a traditional or unconventional wedding, such as the name of the bride and the name of the groom, the names of the wedding hosts, details about the location of the ceremony and reception, the address, some directional signs and even a printed map, the date and time, the RSVP if you find it necessary to receive an attendance response. This RSVP can be written on the wedding invitation card or on a separate reply card.
Details about this reception can be added on the wedding invitation, such as mentioning the fact that you are expecting only adult attendance or make a suggestion about how should your guests dress if you are having a themed wedding party.
If you are having a tropical themed wedding party or if you simply have the wedding organized on a tropical location of the world, then it’s a must to match this theme with the wording.
Below you may find some wording examples for the tropical wedding invitations.
“This day we begin the adventure of a lifetime… Please join us, along with our parents, as we, Lucille Black and Simon White, are united in marriage as a seaside ceremony, on Saturday, the seventh of August, two thousand ten, at five o’clock in the evening, at the Sun Club, Miami, Florida. Reception immediately following ceremony.”
“A perfect shell is a gift from the sea, as beautiful and unique as our love is meant to be. Please join us as we, Lucille Black and Simon White, join our lives in marriage, on Saturday, the seventh of August, two thousand ten, at five o’clock in the evening, at the Sun Club, Miami, Florida. Reception immediately following ceremony.”
“Years ago when they were young, two lovers were brought together as one. Now and forever, partners in life, under palm trees swaying, they’ll be husband and wife. Lucille and Simon look forward to sharing with you the sun, the sea and the memories of their wedding ceremony, on Saturday, the seventh of August, two thousand ten, at five o’clock in the evening, at the Sun Club, Miami, Florida. Sunset reception following ceremony.”
“It’s a Shore thing…we’re getting married! Together, we wrote our names in the sand and the waves washed them away, so we will write them in our hearts and there they will stay. Lucille Black and Simon White, invite you to share in our happiness, on Saturday, the seventh of August, two thousand ten, at five o’clock in the evening, at the Sun Club, Miami, Florida.”
One idea would be to add some favorite verses at the beginning of the wedding invitation and for your tropical theme I recommend using some Hawaiian phrases such as “Hookumu Maua Ka Hale Puni Maua Ohana Me Ka Pumehana A Me Ka Oiloli Kealoha” (May we create a home that surrounds our family and friends with warmth, laughter and love).11
