Scrapbook Wedding Invitations
The scrapbook themed wedding invitations has become increasingly popular over the last decades; it is not difficult to find the reasons behind this popularity: one, because people have become more concerned about the environmental problems and two, because the lack of a significant wedding budget made almost impossible the planning of the wedding ceremonies in exotic locations.
The theme selected for a wedding is that important thing that makes a wedding celebration distinct from all the other; in simpler words, special.
Back in the Middle Ages and in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, only the wealthy or the members of the high society and royal houses could afford celebrating their weddings with opulent parties and high pomp. It was a must to make the wedding announcement in the same sumptuous manner but at that time even the wealthy had education problems and only some of them could actually read and write so the news about the wedding was issued out loud by the town crier or the word could simply be spread only among family members.

The English and French aristocracies sent the wedding invitations in their double envelopes to protect them from any scratches and dirt; the royal messengers or the couriers were used for the task of safely delivering the invitations to their destination.
In the twentieth century, all people had the possibility of using the local or national newspapers to make the wedding announcements and as soon as the printing techniques made possible the mass production of beautiful and interesting wedding invitations, the social ranks didn’t matter anymore for buying and sending these invitations with the newly developed postal services.
The basic information should be about the location of the wedding ceremony and/or reception, share on the same invitation card or on separate ones, the same with the requested RSVP, the time and date of the reception and the ceremony and the location address, the names of the main couple and the wedding hosts, usually being the bride’s parents or the groom’s family or both parties. In these modern times, the bride and groom can decide of paying for their own wedding.

It has become a custom to send the ‘save the date’ invitations cards if you have planned the wedding with months in advance and you would like to share this information with your guests and request to receive the attendance reply until a certain date. Note that this ‘save the date’ invitation acts only as a reminder and does not replace the formal wedding invitations which should be mailed out with minimum eight weeks before the planned wedding day.
You can use the normal postal services or the fast mail, but before sealing them in their double or single envelopes, try to read again the written information and correct the identified spelling mistakes or the wrong addressing forms and honorifics.
Other important details about this special event can also be mentioned on the scrapbook invitations, such as the theme of the wedding and suggestions about the wedding attire. The RSVP is requested only if the attendance responses are necessary for the organizing of the wedding; the RSVP can be written on a separate invitation card with a return address or if you are expecting only for the non-attendance responses you should probably add only the “Regrets only”.
Cheap and beautiful but also unique designed wedding invitations, scrapbook designed, are available for sale almost anywhere and you can buy them at special discount prices if you order them directly from the online manufactures or from their internet sites.
