I dare say rock music is for today’s society, what was classical music for the renaissance era.

The birth of rock and roll, also know as rock ‘n’ roll or rock & roll, dates back several decades ago, more exactly in 1940s and early 1950s, in the United States, as country music, blues and gospel music fused together to create what now we all know as rock and roll music.

Rock and roll is considered a synonym for rock music, but the main difference is that the first is the name given to the rock music from 1950’s, so basically the rock music scene includes the rock and roll genre, rockabilly, heavy metal, and so on.

This music genre, soon after its birth, became the main element to describe a generation, becoming a cultural turning point in humanity’s history. It almost seems like a new religion, but it’s not. Rock and roll idols were seen as godly figures, while their lyrics and music had the power to influence humans on a spiritual level. Music became the next thing close to God.
