Pressed Leaf Wedding Invitations Budget

I don’t know about others, but I, for instance, have always been fascinated by the colors that fall displays once it makes its appearance in the first days after the summer time is gone. And one knows when the autumn is here; it comes in a total domination of the nature with its golden, rusty blow over the tree leaves, with the tiring aspect of the grass that step by step it gets extinguished disappearing into the soil that will host it till the spring will come again. Autumn is the season that with its rains and chilly feelings of a gloomy sky carries me to the land of nostalgia leaving my soul longing for the warmth of a brilliant sun, for the serenity of a sparkling blue sky that hurts the eyes whenever one looks up in an imaginary attempt to melt with its highs.

To a lot of people, autumn comes with poetic inspiration, bonding their soul to the feeling of love, of romance. This is one of the reasons why I instantly agreed to help my sister with the planning of her wedding. She had chosen the late fall period to host her wedding celebration and since it was a small one, mainly held in the presence of family and a few close friends, the time for preparations was more than enough. It was merely the beginning of the fall when she called me and asked for my assistance. So, I offered to give a helping hand in creating her wedding invitations, since they were the first objective in a wedding planning.

She had previously told me that the budget of her wedding was quite restricted, and in this regard, I was supposed to stick within the limits of few expenses that included only the purchasing of cardboard and colored ink for my printer. First I was at a loss not knowing how to begin, with what to begin? My sister let the design and the wording all up to my own concept, telling me that she relied on my power of imagination that would carry the wings of creation to something as unique as their love was. Her expectations made the things only worse, as I had to come up with something and this had to be pretty soon.

One afternoon, I was taking one of my usual strolls out in the park and all of a sudden a gold maple leaf fell on my shoulder. In that instant the idea hit me; it was as if God has petted my shoulder in an attempt to open the eyes of my imagination: I planned to create pressed leaf wedding invitations glued on top of the worded cardboards and have some drawings painted on the leaf’s surface.

I didn’t know then that the maple leaf actually is a symbol of love that brings sweetness and wonders in every day life, but I was satisfied enough to have figured out the solution for the task my sister had entrusted me with. Later I learned also about the fact that leaf, as a single representation, has the meaning of happiness, whereas together they carry different meanings, such as faith and endurance for the oak leaves, or strength and lasting friendship for the ivy leaves and so on.

My sister showed herself very delighted with my idea, especially that I had found the ‘raw material’ in the generous hands of the nature thus succeeding to create pressed leaf wedding invitations budget saving ones.
