Pink And Green Wedding Invitations

Pink and green colors are often associated with feelings of relaxation by alleviating anxiety and depression.

Pink symbolizes joyfulness, happiness and youth, being a color obtained by combining the innocent and pure white with passionate red. Green is associated with peace and ecology, being the predominant color in nature, but it also provides a sense of renewal, harmony or regeneration.

Different shades of green and pink have an emotional or psychological and visual impact on humans, depending very much on how they perceive the color and with what they associate that color; in general pink is a color that stimulates energy by increasing the blood pressure, the number of heartbeats and the respiration, while green gives a sense of relaxation and has a soothing effect.

Oscar Wilde once mentioned the significance of the green color: “He had that curious love of green, which in individuals is always the sign of a subtle artistic temperament, and in nations is said to denote a laxity, if not a decadence of morals.” I think this quote encompasses the whole significance of green.

Humans are affected by color at any level; this is the reason why choosing the right color to match with your personality is seen as very important, and not only for the clothes you often wear but for all the things that surround you. No wonder we even talk about the “pink generation”. Women love pink, it’s an undeniable fact, but green is a color that appeals to both men and women.

John Ruskin said that: ”The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love color the most” and he is so right about that.

My question for you is: have you ever thought of using pink and green wedding invitations to announce your wedding day? This is probably a suggestion in the form of a question but just think about the significance and the powerful symbolism of these two colors and I shall give a brief example.

Different cultures give distinct meanings to each color: in Hinduism, the Heart Chakra or Anahata is associated with green and linked to the heart, chest area, lungs and circulatory system; it allows the person to feel compassion and love if the chakra door is opened; in Japanese culture, pink is associated with the ephemeral life of the cherry tree blossoms or sakura and the fading lives of the samurais or the Japanese warriors who have fought in battles for their beliefs.

The wording for the wedding invitation remains the same as always and there are two options: you can choose for the formal and traditional wording, and for that you must follow the wording etiquette, or you can use the unconventional or humorous addressing form.

The design of the invitation card can be as unique as you want it to be: you can either search for one-of-a-kind pink and green wedding invitations on the internet or, if you have the necessary patience and time, make them yourself by following some wedding invitation tips.

Thermography, with its raised letter effect, can make the perfect choice for writing the text on the invitation card, just make sure to use the perfect ink color so that the writing is visible and contrasting with the predominant colors of the wedding invitation. Another option would be to opt for hand written wedding invitation.

The information you write on the wedding invitation is highly important. The wedding text should contain the name of the bride and the groom; the names of the wedding hosts, usually being the bride’s parents, could be mentioned first but this is not necessary because sometimes both families make a financial contribution to organize the wedding of their children. Don’t forget to mention the wedding location and add some directional signs or a printed map if you find it necessary for your guests, the time and the date, details such as mentioning the fact that after the religious ceremony you plan to have a reception.

After writing the text, read it again to search for any misspellings, especially the addressing forms. If you find the attendance response necessary for the final arrangements of the wedding, add an RSVP on the wedding invitation, usually being a phone number, or on a separate card.

To send out or mail the invitation you could either select a single envelope or the classic double envelope.
