French Inspired Wedding Invitations

When you say France you say Paris. When you say Paris you say culture, fashion, decorative art, and everything that belongs to esthetics. Paris is known to be the center of European culture since 17th century and from 19th on, worldwide. Paris is associated with artistic and intellectual movements that have emerged in the past two centuries, movements that had been generated mostly by foreigners that used to come in Paris due to the “Bohemian” lifestyle. Artists from Spain, Poland, Romania, Russia, USA, Germany, have come to Paris and through their art they gave birth to new styles in painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, and poetry. These styles (impressionism, Belle Epoque, Dadaism, Surrealism) have preserved throughout time, because they are known to be the influences that have lead to what represents Paris, and as such France, today.

The most impressive movement of all remains however the one which has generated the Art Nouveau (meaning “new art”) style. It emerged as a reaction to the rigid, flat style of academic art, and introduced elements of flowers and other plant-inspired motifs together with the stylized, flowing curvilinear forms in an attempt to make art a part of daily life.
