Autumn is an inspiring season by definition. So many tempting colors and themes, that you surely will easily find ideas when it comes about your fall wedding invitations. The season itself is a romantic wedding theme, so you only have to use it in your cards. No matter what type of ceremony you decided on – fall has everything you need to create beautiful invitations.

Not many couples are getting married in autumn. But who does certainly has a unique experience. First of all you will have to decide on color. The representatives tones for fall are not boring at all: brown, green, cream, yellow, burgundy, orange. You can even choose a mix of them. Think about brown cards, gold letters and a cream envelope. Isn't it nice? If you want to use a base color, maybe cream will be the best choice.


Real elements, instead printed graphics, may be used in your invitation. You can also buy paper that has seeds embedded in it – this will be a real surprise element. The traditional way is always the best when you are having a traditional ceremony. Burgundy or chocolate brown envelopes with fall stamps, fall foliage and ribbons can be used for a personal touch. Seals and stickers will look fine, if associated with brown or gold wax seals.

If you invite everybody at a black tie event, then a very good choice would be the well-known combination of black and white. Pumpkins – stickers as well as stamps – are appropriate if the wedding will take place in October. Colored invitations are the best choice if you are having a casual wedding. Orange and dark brown are beautiful autumn colors. Add on the cards different fall scenes or even pine cones, pressed flowers, watermarks or embossing.

Choose weight papers or heavy bond. Regarding the font color, a good idea would be a metallic gold, which will look great on a chocolate brown paper. If you want paler tones, than use as background color cream or ivory.

Autumn is sissy season. It is advisable that you select an indoor location for the party, because you can never know when the rain starts. Decorate it with many colorful ribbons – red, orange, brown and yellow – and the entrance should be dressed in wheat. Roses, daisies and carved pumpkins on the table, with colored candles inside, will have a special effect.


Serve representative foods for this period of the year. The menu should include turkey and chicken combined with mushrooms, potatoes and pumpkins. Everybody is curios about the cake. Serve them tasty chocolate cake, decorated with fruits. People will speak a lot about your wedding, if they are leaving with small gifts, such as ornamental pumpkins and corn tied with an interesting ribbon or. If you really want to impress, than give them homemade preserves.
