Elegant Wedding Invitations
Select a general theme for your wedding and use it in your invitation. It may be a color or the location itself. In this way you can be sure that you have an extra special invitation.
Monograms are perfect for elegant wedding invitations, adding them a sophisticated touch. They usually contain the initials of bride and groom’s names. Choose a special font and use them for introducing a color, or just mix daring colors with a classic design.

There are some chic color combinations that turn a common invitation wedding into a very elegant one. For instance, you can use gold both as an accent or the main color. Gold-lined paper or envelopes will always look elegant. If you attach also a beautiful ribbon on the cards, you’ll have the maximum special effect. Use vibrant colors, like red, blue or violet. Or mix them with a more classical one like gold or silver. You will like the result.
You know that elegant doesn’t imply always classic. So be open to innovation. Instead of bells or birds choose symbols and colors that reflect you personality.
Don’t forget about the rules of wording. Inform the guests who is hosting the ceremony and communicate the exact location. Attach a reply card, to get confirmation about their presence. Specify the date by which you want an answer.
When addressing the people, take into consideration their professional titles, like doctor, engineer or lawyer. Address them according to them. Abbreviations are not allowed.
You may use instead a non-traditional text. It wouldn’t make your invitation less elegant. It would be only original. Make sure that you checked for a few times the spelling.

Elegant may be modern as well. So, instead of paper choose to imprint the text on any other material, textile or even wood. Accessorize your elegant wedding cards with astonishing elements: sea shells, pressed flowers beads, jewelries or anything else you find interesting. Be creative!
If you still want the invitations on paper, then select it carefully. It is true that vellum paper represents tradition, but you can cut it in an elegant shape. Parchment paper or a combination of it with vellum may satisfy your wishes. Cardboards and handmade papers may be also adequate.
But do not exaggerate! Remember: elegant is always simple!
