Drinks Only Wedding Invitations

Before starting the actual planning of a wedding, young couples begin with the process of creating the wedding invitations. Invitations are the ones that describe the tone of your wedding and the theme that you have chosen to celebrate the special event of your life. Wedding invitations carry within themselves the print of the couple's style and personality, the way they plan to have their wedding performed and attended to. The aspect of a wedding card tells the guests how they are supposed to take the news; the design and the wording in this respect play their role, and at the same time carry the information that the invitees are meant to receive.

The wedding celebration is carried in a variety of choices, be they formal or casual. Some couples choose to have a religious ceremony followed by the reception and for this they create the wedding invitations that comprise the whole set of events including the date, hour and location. Other couples prefer to have a ceremonial with its separate set of guests and the reception attended by another set of invitees who due to their age are invited to participate to an atmosphere that resembles a party held in the presence of the younger generations.

The way of having separate age groups to attend one to the ceremony and the other one to the reception party implies creating two sets of wedding invitations. One set meant to be presented to the older generation of guests and worded in a more formal tone as a note of respect and consideration toward their age and the other set is generally created in a casual tone to attract the presence of the younger ones, the generation that can taste the funny aspect of drinks only wedding invitations or cocktail party wedding invitations.

Couples that throw only a small intimate wedding reception have to come up with original ideas in the creation (design and wording) of the drinks only wedding invitations. Some choose to include in the design of the front page the symbols of drinks, a bottle next to a couple of glasses (most commonly used are the ones in the shape of champagne glasses), others choose to relate the name of a cocktail, for instance "Screw Driver", to the design of the wedding card. The beauty of the cocktail names is that they can be funny sources of inspiration in the process of imagining how a drinks only wedding card might look like.

In this respect, some suggestions could be given if we browse through the list of the most favored cocktails found in the celebration of a wedding party and not only: "Brown Cow", "Fuzzy Navel", "Something Blue" (very popular among the cocktails selected for the wedding menu due to its name that comes from the familiar phrase that accompanies the spirit of the bride: 'something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'), "Wedding Belle", "Blushing Bride" etc.

All these cocktails have such expressive names in regard to the choice of wedding invitations' design, that it is almost impossible not to get inspired by them. Graphic symbols are also easy to be found in the clipart panoply provided by the PC programs. Adding your personal idea in the creation of the wedding invitations renders your cards the aspect of originality, style and personal touch that one can not find in the variety of invitations displayed by the online bridal stationeries.
