Most couples want their wedding invitations to be perfect. Sometimes they spend a bit more money than they really should, just to make sure the invitations will be ”perfect”. But what better way to have amazing wedding invitations than designing and making them yourself?! This way you are sure your invitations are one-of-a kind! Besides, making your own wedding invitations helps you save money from the wedding budget.




Don’t worry if you think you are not imaginative enough. Consult the wedding invitations that you can find on the internet or in the wedding supplies stores, so you can have an idea of how the wedding invitations normally look like; i mean you should notice those elements that don’t really change from a type of invitation to another ( the calligraphic font for example), and those elements that change very much. So you can remember all these observations while you design your own wedding invitation. Because it’s important to design something that  has style, originality and good taste.

Let me share with you a few tips : when you start designing your wedding invitation it’s very helpful to start putting your ideas on paper first. Circle the ones you like more, so you can choose easier your favorite. You can use a picture of you and your future bride to put on the front of the invitation, or maybe you can use a picture of something abstract , or maybe something that could symbolize the love that unites you. Anything you choose, make sure it’s something that can make a good impression to your guests. You can also modify your photo in photoshop, and make it look like a painting. Or you can reduce/increase the hue and contrast. Buy some postcards you like and print on them all the info. Make sure you have a good printer . You don’t want your wedding invitations to look mediocre. You can either choose to write your wedding invitations on the computer with a nice font , or you can write them yourself. In case you choose the second option, use a calligraphy pen. Don’t forget to buy envelopes too!  The envelopes are not exactly the most important, so you can buy simple envelopes too. This way you can safe another few dollars. Don’t forget to make sure that the envelope is not too big or too small for your wedding invitations.
