Brown And Blue Wedding Invitations
Oscar Wilde once said that: “Mere color, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways”.
The wedding day is one particular day charged with all sorts of emotions and contrastive feelings and the intense activity of making sure that everything is in order can be stressful, especially when you know that you don’t have the time to relax.
Of course, almost everybody knows about the power of colors and the fact that the energy they generate depends on the emotional, psychological or visual impact they usually have on humans and how are they interpreted or associated with.
The combination or the separate use of the colors brown and blue on the same wedding invitation card might seems a bit awkward because in theory, these two colors are neither contrasting nor taken from the same color pallet.
But the brown and blue wedding invitations could be chosen just because of the strong symbolism and meaning these two colors have.

Brown offers a sense of orderliness, reliability and approachability, by providing a stabilized connection with the earth. On the other hand, blue is also a color found predominantly in nature, like the sky or the oceans and by giving a sense of distance and vastness, isolation and loneliness, being associated with sadness, calm, coldness, profound inner thoughts, trueness, ice, wisdom or spiritual realization, often encouraging people to be productive.

In the English language, brown comes from the old English term “brun”, defined as any dark or dusky shade of color while the word “blue” comes from the French word “bleu” and replacing the old English “blaw”, derived from the Old Germanic “blao” which means “shining”.
Different cultures give different significances to these two colors, but usually we can find resemblances. For example, in India, brown is the color of mourning, associated with the dead autumnal leaves, while in the ancient Aztec culture and in Mexico, blue is regarded as a symbol of sacrifice and the color of mourning.
Similar characteristics can always be found if we study in details the world’s cultures.
This is why I personally think that the brown and blue wedding invitations would be the perfect choice for your wedding.

The design of the wedding invitation card can be as different and unique as you want it to be, but the wording remains pretty much the same: you can either respect the formal wording etiquette or write the wedding invitations by using your personal, unconventional addressing form.
The text on the wedding invitation could be written by hand, giving it a classic or traditional appearance, but one can also opt for thermography, a printing procedure with a raised letter effect or the traditional method of engraving. The calligraphy style can be chosen to match with the wedding invitation design or the wording style.
The wedding invitation is all about the information it contains and depending on that information you will have to use a certain wording style.
The name of the bride and the name of the groom must be mentioned in the wedding text; sometimes the text begins with the names of the wedding hosts, usually being the bride’s parents, but not necessarily. The invitation should also contain the name of the wedding location, the date and time; add a printed map and directional signs if you find them necessary for your guests.
In some cases, the couple chooses to write the RSVP on the wedding invitation in the form of a phone number. The wedding invitations are usually mailed out with minimum six to eight weeks in advance, by using the classical double envelope or a single one.

I was wondering where I could purchase the blue and brown dot invitations? I really like them!!
Thanks!!
