Black White And Pink Wedding Invitations

Pablo Picasso once said: “Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions”.

Everyone knows about the power of colors and the fact that the energy they generate depends on the emotional, psychological or visual impact they have on humans and how they interpret and with what they associate a certain shade of color.

The wedding day is one particular day charged with all sorts of emotions and contrastive feelings. The stress of making sure that everything is in order can be bothersome, especially when you don’t get the chance or time to calm or relax your mind.

The faster method of taking care of the wedding details is to get your inspiration by gathering information and tips about how should a wedding be planned. For the wedding invitation I recommend choosing a combination of colors if you have no other idea in mind but you definitely know that you don’t want to use the plain, white, classical and simple wedding invitations.

The combination of black, white and pink might be one good option to select for your wedding invitations.

Black is authoritative and it can symbolize strong emotions like the feeling of emptiness, fear or the overwhelming primordial void; it can represent anarchy, individuality and evil, darkness, silence, chaos, bereavement; white is the color associated with God, knowledge, purity, nobility, snow, innocence, peace, heaven, angels, sometimes Death, , softness, clouds, winter. On the other hand, pink is a color associated with youth, happiness or joy; it has a relaxing effect and can stimulated the energy of the body and increase the blood pressure and the number of heartbeats.

As a matter of fact, each culture of the world gives a distinct meaning or significance to these colors, so you can also make a decision about the color combination, design, patterns or shape you want for your wedding invitations, depending on how important you find the symbolism of one particular color.

For example, in the Japanese culture, regarded as exotic, these three colors have different significances: kuro, as they say to the black color, represents experience, nobility or age; white is the traditional dress worn by the bride, a symbol associated with the death of the former family and the introduction in a new one but this color relates to youth, inexperience and naiveté; pink is a seen as a masculine symbol and an old legend tells the story of the medieval Japanese warriors known as samurais and their fading lives associated with the Sakura or the ephemeral cherry tree blossoms, when they fought for their beliefs with immense courage on the battlefields.

The design of the wedding invitation card can be as different and unique as you want it to be, but the wording remains pretty much the same: you can either respect the formal wording etiquette or write the wedding invitations by using your personal, unconventional addressing form.

The text on the wedding invitation could be written by hand, giving it a classic or traditional appearance, but one can also opt for thermography, a printing procedure with a raised letter effect or the traditional method of engraving. The calligraphy style can be chosen to match with the wedding invitation design or the wording style.

The wedding invitation is all about the information it contains and depending on that information you will have to use a certain wording style. The name of the bride and the name of the groom must be mentioned in the wedding text; sometimes the text begins with the names of the wedding hosts, usually being the bride’s parents, but not necessarily. The invitation should also contain the name of the wedding location, the date and time; add a printed map and directional signs if you find them necessary for your guests.

In some cases, the couple chooses to write the RSVP on the wedding invitation in the form of a phone number. The wedding invitations are usually mailed out with minimum six to eight weeks in advance, by using the classical double envelope or a single one.

Just think about what other options you have for your wedding invitations, but I strongly recommend the black, white and pink wedding invitations, because I consider that their symbolism is the best argument I can come up with.
